Ding Tai Fung Dinner

Someone from my parents’ church bought food from Ding Tai Fung (DTF) for us so they went to their house to pick it up. The food included two orders of xiaolongbao, two orders of potstickers, and three cups of chicken soup. My mom re-steamed the xiaolongbao to heat it up, and we microwaved the rest. It was okay. I’m not a big fan of DTF, especially how expensive the food is. Our dinner was probably over $60. It was nicely packaged for take-out though. They even included little containers of shredded ginger and packages of black vinegar.

Ding Tai Fung at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa

The friends ordered from the South Coast Plaza location. I’ve never been to that location before. I’ve only eaten at the one in Seattle, and the flagship store in Taipei 101 in Taiwan.

I looked online and there doesn’t seem to be any nutritional information published. Typical for a Chinese restaurant. I ate about half dozen of the xiaolongbao, four potstickers, and drank only the soup; the chicken meat was super dry and tough. Probably wasn’t supposed to eat the chicken meat anyway.
