The weather is crazy windy tonight. We are getting 30 mph winds with gusts up to 60 mph where I live. Currently there is somethihg hitting one of the walls of my house. I hope nothing was ripped free by the wind. I am glad I got the huge eucalyptus tree in my backyard trimmed last month.
This is a wind map from earth. You can see while most of Los Angeles is calm, both the San Fernando Valley and Orange County (where I am) are experiencing high winds.
The winds are also driving three brush fires.
All three fires are near or have already burnt down structures. I do not remember having so many fires this late in the season before.
